St.
Timothy's achieved the status of "self-support."
This meant that the church was no longer dependent
upon The American Lutheran Church (ALC) for loan or
subsidy.
With the help of Olivet Lutheran
Church of Inglewood, California, and the Lutheran
Brotherhood Insurance Company, financing in the amount
of $27,000 was obtained for the construction of an
educational building.
On November 24, 1968, Dr. Gaylerd
Falde, president of the South Pacific District of
The ALC, led the service and performed the rite of
dedication

Long Range Planning Committee was elected
to study the future needs of the growing congregation.
1970
A
third worship service was added to
accommodate the growth of worship attendance.
1971
A
Building Committee was elected to
begin planning for the construction of a new sanctuary.
