VOLUNTEER
OPPORTUNITIES
Volunteering to
help out in your child's classroom or with
schoolwide projects is just as important to
our school as financial support.
Unlike many
other public and private schools, St.
Timothy's does not have volunteer hour or buy
out requirements -- we rely solely on our
parents and supporters willingly giving their
time and talent in support of our
school.
There are lots
of different kinds of ways you can support our
school as a volunteer -- talk to your child's
teacher, your HSC Classroom Rep, or to
Mrs. Renken about how you can help.
There are also many volunteer opportunities
listed on the Home
and School Club page of this site.

Supporting Our School
Did you know that, although St. Timothy's is a Lutheran school, we welcome
families of all denominations? In fact, in our school today we have families of
many different denominations.
So, when you're telling your friends about what a wonderful school we have here, don't count them out if they
aren't Lutherans. Invite them IN! We'll welcome them with open arms. Don't forget we're providing both, strong academic
and spiritual foundations.

SCRIP
What
Is Scrip?
Scrip is a term that means
“substitute
money”. When you purchase scrip, you’re
purchasing negotiable gift certificates and
prepaid cards that
are used just like cash. You can use scrip to
purchase everyday expenses like food,
clothing, and other essentials, and with every
purchase, you earn revenue for our
school.
Scrip is "shopping cart
fundraising”
The
beauty of scrip is that you put your regular
household shopping dollars to work.
You earn
money for our school without spending a single
additional penny.
Just spend your regular shopping
dollars with scrip at the stores that
participate in the scrip program!
And scrip can be used for just about
any household purchase including groceries,
clothing, entertainment, gasoline, gifts, toys
and even dining out.
How
does Scrip Work?
You’re
probably asking yourself how these stores he lp
us raise money. It’s simple -- scrip participating
retailers agree to sell gift certificates at a
discount to non-profit organizations. Member families like yours buy the
certificates for full face value, they redeem
them for full face value, and our school keeps
the difference as revenue. And scrip is exciting, because
everybody wins:
·
The retailers
get cash up front
and repeat business…
·
You get a powerful fundraising
alternative that involves no
selling…
·
St Timothy’s gets a regular
source of revenue.

eScrip
Are
Scrip and eScrip the same thing?
No.
Both bring money into the school and both are
related to shopping, but they are not
the same thing. For details
about scrip, see above.
What
is eScrip?
eScrip
is a hassle-free way for schools and groups
that support children’s programs
to raise funds through everyday purchases made
at eScrip merchants.
How Does it Work?
eScrip
and merchant partners have created a system
that rewards customer loyalty
by contributing a percentage of purchases to
your chosen group.
Parents,
teachers, friend and families are encouraged
to register their credit, debit
and grocery club cards as supports with the
eScrip program. Upon receipt
of registration, a percentage of all purchases
made at eScrip merchants will
be given back to the designated school or
group.
eScrip Advantages:
•
Ease of use – simply swipe your registered
cards at time of purchase
•
Participation from a broad and growing base of
national and local merchant
partners
•
Online access for families to sign up
•
Monthly funds distribution and reports
•
Contributions based on “everyday”
purchases
Simple
Registration
•
Log on to www.eScrip.com
and go to “sign up”.
•
Designate St. Timothy's Lutheran School to
receive contributions.
•
Register your grocery club card from a
participating merchant and your debit/credit
cards.
That’s
it! Visit eScrip merchants to shop and earn.
