God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble”. Psalm 46:1

Time is tough now. There are many bad things happening in the world that can be scary to some: fires, virus, and much more. We have to go to God at this time. We have to believe that we are in his hands, and he will take care of us. In Isaiah 39:16 it says, “See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are ever before me”. This verse is saying God will guide us, and protect us. We are his and He will guide us through the hard times.

What can we do when we feel desperate, and afraid? We can go to God, and pray. Praying is very important, especially during this time. Praying helps you get everything off of your chest. Maybe you, or people you know were evacuated during the fires. Maybe you or someone you know got Covid. We don’t know why bad things happen sometimes, but we have to trust God through it.

Sometimes when I’m afraid I like to think of my guardian angel right beside me. When I was very little one night I saw a glowing figure in my room. I knew it was an angel, and I told my mom about what it was like. It was a glowing outline of an angel just in my room. I still remember it so clearly. It’s very comforting knowing that there’s an angel watching over me. In Exodus 23:20 it says “See, I am sending an angel ahead of you to guard you along the way and to bring you to the place I have prepared”. Overall, even though times are tough in the world right now, God is watching over us and protecting us.

Prayer: Dear Lord thank you for protecting us and watching over us in these tough times. Please help everything going on to get better. Thank you for sending a guardian angel to watch over each one of us. Please help whoever is worried or afraid to know you are with them. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
