MUSIC MINISTRY
 
Traditional Music
 
Chancel Choir – open to all high school age and above who enjoy singing and can pitch match (sing in tune).
Music reading is not necessary but is helpful.

Practice recordings of every song are provided so you can practice at home as well as on Sundays.

The choir sings for the 9 a.m. traditional worship service on the 2nd, and/or 4th Sunday of each month September through May.

Practice: Sundays from 10:15-11:00 a.m in the Music Room.
 
Cantata Choir – open to all high school age and above who enjoy singing and can pitch match (sing in tune).
Practice recordings are provided so you can practice at home as well as on Sundays.

The Christmas cantata is the BIG event of the music year at St. Timothy’s! The Cantata Choir will be accompanied by an orchestra and narration.

Practice: Sundays from 10:15-10:40 a.m in the Music Room. There will be two Saturday rehearsals with the orchestra December 7th and 14th from 9-11 a.m.
The cantata will be presented at BOTH worship services on Sunday, December 15th.
 
Bells of Praise – handbell ensemble open to all high school age and above. Music reading is required.
Bells will play once a month at the 9 a.m. traditional worship service on the 2nd or 4th Sunday (or 5th Sunday, when there is one).

Practice: Sundays from 11:15 a.m. – 12:00 p.m in the Music Room.
 
Instrumentalists – contact the Director of Traditional Music if you’d like to play a solo, accompany a hymn, play in an ensemble, etc.

Instrumentals are also needed for the cantata orchestra (strings, brass, woodwinds, etc.)
 
 
 
Contemporary Music
 
Worship Team Band – plays modern worship songs with guitars, drums & keyboard during the second service on Sunday mornings. 
 
Instrumentalists and singers are invited to share their talents. Contact Joe if you are interested in playing or singing.
 
Rehearsals are once a week usually Wednesday evenings at 7 pm.
